Persona is a special power granted to a select few individuals, which emerges during the Dark Hour. Persona is an aspect of one's soul; it is the inner self.
Persona, and people related to this power, are classified by archetypes and associated with the Major Arcana of Tarot. The strengths and weaknesses of Persona become the strengths and weaknesses of the user, as the Persona and the user become one and the same.
Most Persona users have only one Persona. For some reason, I'm able to use many different Personas. I was taught how to control this special ability by Igor-san and Elizabeth-san, two mysterious people who live in a strange place, the Velvet Room, which apparently only a handful of people can see. None of my friends in SEES are able to see the door to the Velvet Room, even though to me it's as plain as day.
My very first Persona was Orpheus, a Persona of the Fool Arcana. Since then, I've realized the power of many Personas...
