Burned to death, he returned years later as an immortal serial killer, stalking and slaying his victims through their nightmares. His striped sweater, burn-scarred face, and razor-bladed glove are known and dreaded worldwide.
Although normally powerless and mortal outside of the realm of dreams, the summoning ritual used to bring him to the ULTIMA stage has allowed Freddy to retain some of his supernatural abilities, as well as his immortality.
